Pot limit Omaha is said to be one of the most dangerous variant of the Omaha games. But it can’t be as dangerous as Ben Lamb who has won the WSOP Pot Limit Omaha championship few days back. He is known to be one of the best pot limit Omaha player and he has proved his worth. Ben Lamb won the championship after winning the Event#42 and won $814,436 and won his first WSOP gold bracelet.
The Event#42 witnessed a large number of participants who were trying their best in finishing the tables. This event turned out to be the biggest $10,000 pot limit Omaha tournament in the history of WSOP as 361 players competed for the bracelet. After winning the WSOP main event, Lamb told in an interview that all his poker friends who have won WSOP gold bracelet do respect him for his playing skills but never leaves any chance for teasing him not to have won a gold bracelet.
Some of his best performances were recorded in the year 2010 where he came at 30th position in the same category and stood at 14th position in the WSOP main event by winning $633,022. His total winnings from WSOP amount to almost $2,000,000. Lamb consistently performed well throughout the tournament. At the final day of the tournament, Lamb had the highest chips stack by having 4,335,000 chips. The final day was full of ups and downs for him where he lost his lead of having the chips stack for a moment but he quickly regained it back within no time. Once he regained the lead he quickly ended up the whole tournament.
After his victory at the WSOP main event, he said that the money is good but the bracelet will stay with him forever. This year will surely be memorable for Ben Lamb for having won his first ever WSOP gold bracelet.
